Graphic
Design
This image
was an assignment for a graphic design course that I had taken previously at
UNSW. This poster was displayed and advertised at Open Day on a wide screen for
the Arts and Social Science. The assessment criteria were to combine the word
Rhythm and the concept of ‘Exploding Ideas’. The ultimate goal was to create a
poster that could communicate these two elements visually. I had used various
shapes such as circles and diamonds to represent a cluster of ideas and
knowledge hence the flowing of lines and pulse symbolises electrical signals or
the flow of neurons in the brain. The spark in the middle shows the dispersal
of ideas. I have also used a range of warm colours to complement the dark
background.
McDonald’s in
Batumi, Georgia
What strikes
me the most about this architecture is the unique geometrical shapes and
intricate detailing of glass windows and glass walls. The structure combines
gas station refuel facilities and restaurant services. What I also like about
this building is the roofless space and the sloping indoor garden that gives a
sense of warmth and relaxation to customers.
Itsukushima
Shrine
This photo
was taken 3 months ago in a trip to Japan. The Shrine is one of Japan’s most
popular tourist attractions. The shrine complex is listed as a UNESCO world
heritage site. It was an amazing experience to be able to see it up close.
